ZOMG.Ban evil assault clips! Have to hand it to the Brady Campaign.  They really push to place fear in the hearts and minds of people who don’t know any better.   If you can’t get people to understand your view, make them fear the imagined consequences, right?Never mind the fact that the Campaign themselves can’t tell the difference between a ‘clip’ and a ‘magazine.’  I guess we’re just supposed to sit back and think that barrel shrouds are the “things that go up,” too, yeah?My Dad owns something the Brady Campaign would term an “assault clip.”  Let’s take a look at some real facts for a moment:1.  This “assault clip” is actually a “high capacity magazine.”2.  It’s never climbed out of my father’s gun cabinet to slaughter 10+ people in one swipe.3.  It’s never been an instrument of any sort of murder or crime.4.  My father has also not turned into a mentally deficient, criminally-minded mental patient with homicidal tendencies by owning these. 5.  The extra five rounds he can fire without reloading still doesn’t turn him into the above. None of us have anything to fear from something that holds ammunition for a firearm.  A firearm by itself is probably the equivalent of a kitchen knife.  It could harm someone, but not by itself.
